Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and Psychologist
Better Life Care Services is a disability services provider that provides a wide range of services to NDIS Participants. We are currently seeking to employ Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and Psychologist on a flexible arrangements to suit both the company and the employees with competitive rates on offer based on experience.
Assessing clients’ emotional, psychological, developmental and physical capabilities using clinical observations and standardised tests
Assessing clients’ functional potential in their home, leisure, work and school environments, and recommending environmental adaptations to maximise their performance
Planning and directing programs through the use of vocational, recreational, remedial, social and educational activities on an individual and group basis
Providing advice to family members, carers, employers and teachers about adapting clients’ home, leisure, work and school environments
Providing adaptive equipment, such as wheel chairs and splints, to assist clients to overcome their functional limitations
Working with other Health Professionals in overall case management of clients
Working with other professionals in providing specialist advice to specific client groups such as those requiring driver rehabilitation, third-party compensation and medico-legal representation
Recording clients’ progress and maintaining professional relationships in accordance with relevant legislative requirements and ethical guidelines
Provide assessments, interventions and therapy to children and adults with a diverse range of disabilities
Visits to the home, child care and school environments to provide an inclusive model of practice.
Provide educational sessions for parents, teachers and preschool staff.
Experience is preferred but not essential. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Ability to plan, implement and evaluate individual and small group programs
Ability to work with people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Ability to deliver service within school/daycare settings
Ability to work with people with disabilities across a range of ages 0-65yrs
Ability to work with families.
Ability to work with 0‑17 year old children and youth with a variety of additional needs.
Ability to work as a trans-disciplinary team member.
Ability to work with children with feeding difficulties.
Ability to develop and present workshops.
Knowledge of augmentative communication strategies.
Knowledge of feeding programs.
Knowledge ofconducting swallowing and oral motor assessments.
Ability to work with children with disabilities.
An interest in learning about Positive Behaviour Support.
Requirements for this role:
Tertiary Qualifications (4 year degree)
Current membership of relevant regulatory body
Current Drivers Licence
Current First Aid & CPR
Working with Children Check
Current Police Check
